Kenneth Jones

Kenneth Lamon Jones, 79 of Durham, North Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2026. He was born October 12, 1946 in Durham, NC to the late Willie and Janie Jones.

Kenneth proudly served his country in the United States Navy and was stationed in Norfolk, VA. He worked for Mead Paper Company for several years then IBM as an Assembler for over 30 years until he retired.

Mr. Jones loved to paint and was a very talented artist. He enjoyed watching old westerns and comedy shows. He will be remembered as a quiet and reserved man who was very kindhearted. Kenneth was a loving brother and uncle and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Kenneth is survived by his sister, Joyce Jones; brother, Daylon Jones; nephews, Davey Jones (Crystal) and Eddie Jones (Cindy); niece, Janet Aliff , Great nieces and nephews, Lindsay & Alexis Jones (Eddie) Autumn and Savannah Jones (Davey) Josh Klass and Chris Cook (Janet) and other loving family members and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 22, 2026 at Hudson Funeral Home Chapel, 211 S. Miami Blvd., Durham, NC 27703. Rev. Randy Youmans of Liberty Baptist Church will officiate. The family will receive friends at 2:00 P.M prior to memorial service.
