Katherine Mae Wilkerson “Kat” Meredith

Ms. Katherine “Kat” Mae Wilkerson Meredith, age 68, passed away peacefully at home on February 6, 2022.

Katherine was born on March 18, 1953, a daughter of the late Charles Elliott and Lessie Margaret Smith Wilkerson. She was born in Durham and she lived in the Raleigh-Durham area her whole life. Katherine enjoyed fishing and loved dogs. She loved her family, friends, and caregivers. Katherine will be deeply missed.

In addition to her parents, Katherine was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Hailey Meredith.

Katherine is survived by her son, David Meredith (April); daughter, Michelle Sparrow (Mark); sisters, Deborah Pleasant, Diane Draughan, and Brenda Sebti; grandchildren, Mark Sparrow, Jr. (Emilee), Brandon Sparrow, Micheal Meredith, and Meghan Sparrow; and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 13, 2022 at Hudson Funeral Home Chapel.
