Karen Sue Hall, 66, of Durham passed away on November 17, 2025, at her home. She was born in Durham on June 8, 1959, to the late Roland Wallace Hall and Barbara Stegall Hall which survives her.
In addition to her mother, Karen is survived by brothers, Dean Hall and wife Shyla of Hillsboro, OR, David Allen Hall and wife Angie of Sacramento, CA, Ricky Hall, Sr. and wife Andrea of Durham; sister, Brenda Hall of Durham; nephews, Rick Hall, Jr., Logan Deese, Joseph Manzanres, David Manazanres and David Hall; nieces, Madison Deese, Jordan Hall and Grace Hall; and her pet companion, Angel.
Karen is preceded in death by her father, Wallace Hall; maternal grandparents, Howard and Daisy Stegall and paternal grandparents, Horace and Vera Hall, nephew, Michael Manzanres.
Karen was an avid Duke fan in a family of UNC fans, a distinction she embraced with pride and good humor. She graduated from C.E. Jordan High School in 1977. Karen deeply loved her family and her beloved cat, Angel. She was a devoted country music fan, especially of the Alabama Band, and she was well known for her famous potato salad, a favorite at family gatherings.
A visitation will be held on Monday November 24, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Liberty Baptist Church, 3864 Guess Road, Durham, NC follow by a memorial service at 11 a.m. at the church. Reverend David Ketner will officiate.
