Julie Ann Williams Caulder

Julie Ann Williams Caulder, 60, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 19, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family 

Ms. Caulder was born October 24, 1963, to (the late) Billy Albert Williams and (the late) Edna Audrey Moore in Durham NC.

 Ms. Caulder graduated in 1982 from Northern High School in Durham, NC. After graduation, she attended Alamance Community College (ACC) where she studied Dental Assisting.  She began working at the UNC School of Dentistry in Chapel Hill and remained there for several years before returning to ACC. She graduated from ACC in 1997 with her Associate’s Degree in Nursing. For 26 years, Ms. Caulder worked as a Registered Nurse in multiple specialties, however she always said caring for patients and their families in their home while on hospice was her calling. 

In her spare time, Ms. Caulder enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and her family. During the summer she enjoyed vacationing at Carolina Beach, and in the fall, she loved visiting the NC Mountains to see the changing foliage.

 Ms. Caulder is survived by her daughter, Autumn Celeste Williams (Eric); her son, Corey Travis Caulder; her sister, Jayne Williams Barnwell (Mike); grandchildren, Collin Driver, Halleigh Proffit, and Lola Van Hoose; nephews, Spencer Barnwell (Anna), and Luke Barnwell (Haley);great-nieces, Aubrey Wright, Avery Barnwell, and Saylor Barnwell.

 A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at 2 PM at Hudson Funeral Home, 211 S. Miami Blvd., Durham, NC 27703 with a visitation prior to the service from 1 to 2 PM.
