Judith Bryant Crabtree

Judith Bryant “Judy” Crabtree, 80, of Durham passed away on June 22, 2025, at Durham Ridge Assisted Living. Ms. Crabtree was born on January 15, 1945, in Durham to the late Millard and Frances Smith Bryant. In addition to her parents, Ms. Crabtree is predeceased by her sister, Sandra Bryant.

Ms. Crabtree is survived by her sons, Chris Crabtree and spouse Barry Howes of Minneola, FL and Jason Crabtree of Rolesville, NC; grandchildren, Antonio Taborn, Desiree Davis-Crabtree and Joshua Crabtree; great grandchild, Cameron Taborn; brother, Mickey Bryant; sister, Elizabeth Bryant.

Ms. Crabtree was employed for several years at the General Electric Turbine Plant at Research Triangle Park and later worked as a hostess at Bullock’s BBQ in Durham, where she enjoyed connecting with the community. She enjoyed trips to the beach, was an avid Elvis fan, and shopping was one of her favorite pastimes. She also enjoyed going to Daytona Motor Speedway to watch NASCAR races with her son Chris.

Inn lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday 26, 2025 at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.
