Joyce Medlin Willis

DURHAM- Joyce Medlin Willis, 76, of Durham died on Saturday, December 27, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Ernest A. Medlin and Adell Johnson Medlin. She retired from Durham Public School after twenty five years of service as a Teacher’s Assistant. She  loved birds, spending time on the boat at the coast and all the children she taught through the years.

She is survived by her husband of fifty five years, Charles Esten Willis, one son, Kevin Willis of Youngsville; one daughter, Kristie Kerr of Durham; two brothers, Wayne Medlin of Durham; and Tony Medlin of Baton Rouge, LA; six grandchildren, Katie, Lindsey and Brandon Willis, Jonathan, Jeremy and Jordan Kerr.

Memorial services will be held on Monday at 3:00 at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Rev. Clarence Parrish will officiate.
