Joyce Ann Carmack Thompson

DURHAM Mrs. Joyce Ann Carmack Thompson, 72, of Durham, died on Sunday, February 16, 2014.
Mrs. Thompson was a native and lifelong resident of Durham, daughter of the late Watson Henry Carmack and Virgie Bell Woodruff Carmack. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Thompson; daughter, Mary Ann Carmack, brothers, Junior Carmack, James Carmack and a sister, Dorothy Carmack Haithcock.
She is survived by her brother, Charles Carmack of Durham; special niece, Juanita Carmack Smith and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Rev. Hugh O’Shields will officiate.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home, 803 Watts Street Apt B in Durham. Flowers are acceptable. Online condolences may be made to www.hudsonfuneralhome.com.
