Joseph Green Barker Jr.

BUTNER Mr. Joseph Green Barker, Jr., 86, a former resident of Butner, died on Sunday, July 8, 2012 in Terre Haute, IN. Mr. Barker was a native of Caswell County, NC. He was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps, serving during World War II in Iwo Jima. He retired from CCB as a Courier. He formerly attended Grove Park Chapel. He was preceded in death by his son, Jesse Colon Barker, 5 brothers, 3 sisters and a great-grandson, Joey Campos.He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Rebecca Cates Barker; one son, Terry Steven of Terre Haute, IN; one sister, Hazel Swanson Barker of Burlington; five grandchildren, Rebecca B. Campos, Lucas Barker, Lydia Barker, Joshua Barker and Timothy Barker and 8 great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:30 am at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Pastor Dale Brooks will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
