John Watson Hinesley Jr.

DURHAM- Mr. John Watson Hinesley, Jr., age 70, passed away on December 16, 2021.

John was born September 24, 1951 to the late John Watson and Clara Malone Page Hinesley, Sr. Mr. Hinesley attended Riverside Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, and racing. John loved spending time with his family and friends. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time, laughing, and joking with his grandkids. He enjoyed the precious time with his children and grandchildren. J.W. will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be deeply missed by everyone blessed to have known him.

Mr. Hinesley is survived by his wife of 51 years, Connie Hinesley; son, Joseph Hinesley (Valerie); daughter, Jenni Hinesley (Chris Davie); brothers, Jerry Hinesley (Tammy) and Ricky Hinesley (Trish); grandchildren, Stephanie Gerardi (Troy), Kayleigh Hinesley, Dylan Hughes, Cody Hughes, Paislee Davie; great grandchildren, Luke Gerardi, Skyler Holder, Carson Gerardi, and Mia Gerardi; as well as other loving family members and friends.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Monday, December 27, 2021 at Hudson Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Hudson Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Cash Officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. Masks will be required to enter the building.
