John Robert Mills

Mr. John Robert Mills, age 71, passed away on December 22, 2021.

Mr. Mills was born May 21, 1950 to the late Ravy Hole and Gladys Wilson Mills. John was a roofer for many years. He enjoyed going to the mountains, working on cars, and loved ice cream. John loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Mills was preceded in death by his son, Robbie Mills; and brother Leon Mills.

Mr. Mills is survived by his loving wife, Naomi Donals Mills; daughters, Laura Bethune (Michael), Dorothy Armstrong, and Annette Dalton; grandchildren, Melissa Bethune, Selena Bethune, Jeffery House, and Ryland Armstrong; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A private service will be held at a late date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hudson Funeral Home to assist the family with funeral expenses.

God Only Takes the Best

God saw that he was getting tired,

and cure was not to be.

So, He put His arms around him

and whispered, “Come with Me.”

With tearful eyes, we watched him suffer,

and saw him fade away.

Although we loved him dearly,

We could not make him stay.

His golden heart stopped beating,

working hands were laid to rest.

God broke our hearts to prove to us

He only takes the BEST.
