John Lenning Mashburn, Jr.

DURHAM-Mr. John Lenning  Mashburn, Jr., 85,  of Durham died on Sunday, July 28, 2013. He was the son of the late John Lenning Mashburn, Sr., and Eva Harden Mashburn . He retired from Overnight Trucking as a truck driver.

He is survived by two sons, Keith Mashburn (Natalie) of Rougemont; J.B. Mashburn (Donna) of Durham;  two daughters, Wanda Summey (Spencer) of Hillsborough and Yvonne Scarlett (Ron) of Hillsborough; one sister, Betty Cockrell of Durham, four grandchildren, Amanda Scarlett, Adam Scarlett, Andrew Scarlett and Nikki Mashburn.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel.  Pastor Betty Bunn will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. one hour prior to the service at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home. Flowers are acceptable. Online condolences can be made at www.hudsonfuneralhome.com.
