Jessie Marie Bradley, 86, a Durham native passed away on March 27, 2026. She was Born on January 17, 1940. She was preceded in death by her husband Burnie B. Bradley, mother Ruby McFarland and her stepfather Jesse McFarland.

Marie had a deep love for music and dancing, and she especially enjoyed spending time with friends, whether going out to dance or shopping together. She found joy in gardening and had a true gift for nurturing plants- anything she touched seemed to grow and flourish. She also had a creative spirit and loved crafting, including crocheting, painting, and cross-stitching. She had a love for all animals and loved her dog Angel immensely. She also worked and Retired from Research Triangle Institute.

Marie cherished time with her family, where there was never a dull moment- only laughter, lively conversation, and lasting memories, she held a strong and unwavering faith in God, which she openly shared with anyone willing to listen. She was a member of Guess Road Baptist Church. Marie left a lasting impression on all who knew her. She gave freely of her love and kindness, and her honesty and strength of character ensured that you always knew exactly where she stood.

Marie is survived by her daughter Penny Bradley Sykes (Gary), son Rick Bradley (Amy); grandchildren, Tyler Sykes (Courtney), Brittany Sykes Allen (Jeff), Sydney Bradley; great grandchildren, Mitchell Clyde Allen, Nolan Sykes, Colin Sykes; and her sister Shirley Hart.
