James Michael “Mike” Clifton

Mr. James Michael (“Mike”) Clifton, age 66, passed away peacefully at home after an extended illness.

Mike was an avid Duke Blue Devils Basketball and NASCAR fan. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and going to the beach. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Clifton was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas (“Tommy”) Clifton.

Mr. Clifton is survived by his loving wife, Patsy Moore Clifton; step-daughter, Toni Champion; step-son, Joshua Crutchfield; sister, Linda Koontz (Steve Smith); step-grandchildren, Adrienne Gregory, Michaela Champion, Logan Champion (Kayla), Daniel Champion, and Christian Champion; niece, Beverly Clifton; and special friends, Ricky and Teresa Holder.

A visitation will be held from 6:00-7:30 p.m., Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at Hudson Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at New Bethel Church Cemetery (9022 New Bethel Church Road, Rougemont, NC 27572) with Rev. Norma Roberts officiating.

Flowers are acceptable.
