Jack Young

DURHAM Mr. Jack Young, 81, of Durham, died on Sunday, June 09, 2013.Mr. Young was born in Franklin County to the late Dock and Laura Mae Carpenter Young. He was a U. S. Army Veteran and retired from IBM Corp. He attended Cedar Fork Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carrie B. Young.He is survived by his son, Don Young (Kathy); daughter, Jacque Green (Kevin); brother, Bill Young; four grandchildren, Ashley Green, Robin Wallace, Sam Young, Paul Young and a great-grandchild, Maliya Humbert.Private graveside services will be held on Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Brier Creek Memorial Gardens. Rev. Ron Zedick will officiate.The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., before the service at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home of Jacque Green, 11730 Green Level Church Road in Cary.
