Howard Buchanan

Durham-Howard Cleveland Buchanan, 91, of Durham died on Thursday, December 20, 2012. He was a native and lifelong resident of Durham, the son of the late Lofton Buchanan and Bessie Hancock Buchanan. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corp. during World War II. was a member of the Masonic Temple 352, Sudan Temple, Elks Club, Life Veteran of Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion. He retired from American Tobacco Company as a mechanical supervisor. He is survived by his son, Barry Buchanan of Durham, two grandchildren, Mark Buchanan and Michelle Watkins, four great-grandchildren, Matthew Watkins, Mark Buchanan, Tyler Watkins and Aaron Buchanan, one great-great granddaughter., MacKenzie Buchanan. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the home of Michelle B. Watkins, 4716 Old NC 10, Durham. Family assisted by Hudson Funeral Home.
