Hilda Matthews Paschall

PASCHALLDURHAM Mrs. Hilda Matthews Paschall, 81, of Durham, died on Tuesday, December 13, 2011.Mrs. Paschall was a native of Durham, the daughter of the late Alvis Arto Matthews and Mildred Buchanan Underwood. She owned and operated Paschall’s Café for 20 years. She was a member of Leesville Road Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her son, Jerry Huffman; sister, Dorothy Rigsbee; grandchild, Christy Honeycutt and great-grandson, Bryce Keatts.She is survived by her husband, Cheesie Paschall; five sons, David Rigsbee, Donnie Rigsbee and wife, Kerry, Ricky Rigsbee, Randy Rigsbee and wife Pam and Joe Rigsbee and wife, Wanda; one daughter, Linda Honeycutt; two brothers, Alvis “Bud” Matthew and wife, Carolyn and Lonnie “Doodie” Matthews and wife, Ann of Carolina Beach; 27 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren.Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. at Leesville Road Baptist Church. Rev. Sam Bullington and Rev. Jack Moody will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Jarrad Rigsbee, Joe Riggsbee, Neal Faircloth, Claude Faircloth, Johnta Hanna and Jason Honeycutt.The family will receive friends on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home of her son, Joe Rigsbee, 308 S.
