DURHAM Mrs. Hazel Janet Blackwood, 89 a former resident of Durham, died in Dickson, Tenn. on Saturday, February 2, 2013.Mrs. Blackwood was born in Durham, the daughter of the late James Newton Street and Lillian Mae Blalock Street. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Blackwood.She is survived by her two brothers, Rev. Tommy Street and Bruce Street; one sister, Trenis Bennett and several nieces and nephews.Graveside services will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Lowes Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Hugh O’Shields.
