Hazel King Ellis

DURHAM- Mrs. Hazel Marie King Ellis, 72, passed away on Monday, April 26, 2021.

Mrs. Ellis was born on February 23, 1949 to Willie and Ida King in Durham, NC. She was the owner of Ellis Gas Company in Durham, NC. Hazel was a very loving person and never met a stranger. She will be remembered as a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Mrs. Ellis was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Robert and Ronnie King.

Mrs. Ellis is survived by her son, Marty Dewayne Ellis; sister, Shirley Ann King Wade and husband, Harold, of Durham, NC; grandchildren, Daniel, Valaree, Kortney; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 30, 2021 at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. Reverend Hugh O’Shields will be officiating.
