Geraldine Williams Hall, of Raleigh, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at the age of 86. She was born on June 13, 1939, in Durham County, North Carolina.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Lunnie Williams and Hattie McCorqudale Williams. Her biological mother was Mary Ann Williams, who also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her children: Sheryll Allen Harris (James Edmond Harris), James Gregory Allen, Kimberly Allen Page, and Sheron Allen Hinesley (Clifton B. Hinesley Jr.).
Geraldine is also survived by her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Kendra Emory Jirousek (Filip), with children Parker and Klara; Kirk Dwayne Page (Heather), with child Peyton; Kevin Lane Emory (Sara), with children Melina and Josie; April Hinesley Hayes (John), with child Kinsley; Melissa Danielle Page; and Tiffany Hinesley Patterson (Nathan), with children Nolan and Finley.
Our mom was a gifted, talented, independent, and beautiful woman. She believed deeply in God, and we take comfort in knowing she was welcomed into the loving arms of Jesus. She has been healed and is no longer suffering.
Geraldine loved and adored her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, as well as her precious baby companion, a little Yorkie named Joy. Each brought her years of pride, cherished memories, and a legacy she left with each of us in her own special way. She was an avid sports fan who especially loved watching basketball and football whenever she could and was a devoted Duke Blue Devils fan. In addition to Duke, she deeply admired Kobe Bryant and enjoyed watching him play. Geraldine also loved living in her home, where she found comfort and joy in nature. Birds, squirrels, deer, neighborhood cats, and other visitors to her backyard brought her hours of peaceful enjoyment and companionship.
Geraldine had a special love for flowers and gardening, taking great pride in her surroundings. She was also an accomplished seamstress, completing many sewing projects for herself and her family with care and creativity.
We are especially thankful that Mom was able to live independently for most of her life.
She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
The family is grateful for the care and kindness shown to Geraldine during her long journey and her final days.
A memorial will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, December 23, 202,5 at Hudson Funeral Home Chapel.
Reverend Tim Wheeler will officiate the service.
