Gerald Joseph FitzGibbon

Gerald Joseph “Jerry” FitzGibbon, 56, of Hillsborough, NC, passed away at his home on February 4, 2026. Jerry was born May 21, 1969, in Rochester, NY to the late Thomas Joseph and Nancy Brooks FitzGibbon.

In addition to his parents, Jerry is preceded in death by his stepfather, James Bucci; and a sister Maureen Hruza.

Jerry is survived by brothers, John FitzGibbon and wife Monika of Lacy, WA, Terrence FitzGibbon and wife Lisa of Lillington, NC, and Joseph FitzGibbon of Efland, NC; sisters, Kathleen FitzGibbon of Sterling, VA, and Diane FitzGibbon (Bill Boop) of Durham, NC, Patricia Sullivan and husband Danny of Cary, NC; lifelong friends, Jerry McClure and Lyll Flannery; and many nieces and nephews.

Jerry was employed by J.W. Electric as an Electrician for several years. He enjoyed drag racing, collecting model cars, puzzles and assembling Lego kits.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 2 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home Chapel.  Officiating will be Reverend Hugh O'Shields.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jerry’s memory can be made to the American Cancer Society.
