DURHAM- George Royal Goodwin, 90, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2019.
Mr. Goodwin was born April 29, 1928 to George and Marie Goodwin in Wake County, NC. He is a World War II veteran and proudly served his country in the United State Marines. Mr. Goodwin will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Mr. Goodwin is preceded in death by his parents, George and Marie Goodwin; wife of 50 years, Janean McEwing Goodwin.
Mr. Goodwin is survived by his sons, Shelly Goodwin (Debbie) of Cary, NC, Stephen Miles Goodwin of Fayetteville, NC; grandchild, George Goodwin of Raleigh, NC, Thomas Goodwin, Betsy Goodwin.
