George T. King, Jr., 52, of Hillsborough, North Carolina passed away at his home on Wednesday, June 11, 2025. He was born on October 28, 1972 to the late George Thomas King, Sr. and Doris Lee King.
Mr. King worked as a Handyman for many years; he could fix anything that needed to be done. His kind nature and patience made him the man that anyone could depend on. He was a faithful lifetime member of RTP Community Church.
George enjoyed fishing, especially at Falls Lake. He also liked reading fantasy books including The Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter. Mr. King was known for his beautiful singing voice in addition to his kind heart. George was often found doing good deeds to help anyone in need and on several different occasions giving the jacket he was wearing on a cold day to someone in need.
Mr. King dearly loved his beloved wife and children. His “Dad Jokes” will always be remembered, his love of straight black coffee in hand before he left the house in the morning will always be laughed about, and most of all - his warm smile and hugs will always be cherished.
George is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Leesa King; sons, Thomas King and William King; daughter, Emily King; sister, Rhonda King; nieces, Ashley Owen and Alex Owen; nephew, Ronnie Seymour and other loving family members and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at RTP Community Church, 1727 Ed Cook Rd., Durham, NC 27703. The family will receive friends after the service during a time of fellowship and food.
