George Bowling

Durham- George Thomas Bowling, 80, formerly of Durham & Goose Creek Resort, Newport, NC died on Wednesday, January 11, 2012. He was the son of the late William O. Bowling and Lizzie Andrews Bowling. He was a graduate from Helena High School Class of 1950 and retired from Eastern Airlines Ramp Service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Fayedene Wheeler Bowling and son, Gregory Dean Bowling.He is survived by one son, Ronald T. Bowling and wife Cathy of Timberlake, NC; one daughter, Janet B. Batchelor of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; one sister, Lucille B. Walls of Hillsborough, two grandchildren, Christopher T. Bowling and wife, Diana of Durham; Michael Batchelor of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; two step-grandchildren, Johnny Rigsbee of Timberlake, NC, Lisa R. Lowe and husband Bryan of Brandenburg, KY; five great-grandchildren, Bauer, Lauren and Abigail Bowling, Christian Batchelor, Hayden Rigsbee.Services to be planned at a later date.
