Gary L. Ragan, was born May 5, 1946, to Jean E (Winer) and Ollie "Buddy" F. Ragan in Akron, OH. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, David. 

The family moved to Durham, NC when Gary was in 8th grade. Gary graduated from Durham High School. He worked for Westpoint Stevens, Inc. in Durham, then in Burlington for 30 years. He loved to watch wrestling, listen to old country music, and had some unique collections. He also loved old school sayings like "Don't take any wooden nickels." Wherever he went, people got to know him as a friendly and entertaining guy.

Private services will be held for the family at a later date.
