Gary Ethridge

DURHAM – Mr. Gary Ethridge, 59, passed away suddenly Saturday, June 6, 2021.

Mr. Ethridge was born April 25, 1962 in Rockford, IL. to Allen D. and Ada Jones Ethridge. Gary proudly served in the U.S. Army. He and Stephanie married on February 24, 1996. Together they worked in church ministries for four years. He was employed by Massey Real Estate for many years.  Gary was a very caring and giving person and was a member of World Overcomers Christian Church. He loved sports, especially fishing, and was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears. Gary will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brother and 1 sisters. He is survived by his wife of 26 years Stephanie Kirk Ethridge; son, Jermaine Taborn of Durham; daughter, Amanda Kirk of Raleigh, NC; brothers, Patrick Huey and John David Huey; sisters, Tammy Ethridge and Tracey Huey; and 7 grandchildren.

A memorial service with military rites will be held Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Officiating will be the Pastor Freda I. Kirk.
