Fred High Jr.

DURHAM- Mr. Fred High, Jr., 72, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2021.

Mr. High, Jr. was born July 21, 1949, to the late Fred High, Sr. and Katie Bailey High in Durham, NC. Fred loved being outdoors, whether it was fishing, hunting, or gardening. He also enjoyed a life-long career in telecommunications and stayed involved in the community coaching various sports at Bethesda. Fred will be deeply missed.

Fred is survived by his sons, Bobby High and Mickey High; sisters, Jeannette Hodges (Lamond) of Oxford, NC, Billie High (Sam Brantley) of Durham, NC, and Joyce Flowers (Don) of Conover, NC; and grandchild, Nicolas High (Christina) of Raleigh, NC.

The family has requested no service or visitation due to the on-going pandemic concerns in the community.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be sent in his name to Duke Homecare and Hospice with hopes it will serve others who are in need of care.
