Raleigh

With heavy hearts, we announce that a wonderful and loving man, Eric Allen Yeske, 37, of Raleigh, North Carolina passed away on Thursday, June 25th, 2026, leaving a void that can never be filled. He was born in Durham, North Carolina on June 20th, 1989, to Kimberly and Gary Yeske.

Eric was known to all for his generous heart and gentle spirit. He was a great source of strength to his family and friends – lending a trustworthy, nonjudgemental ear to those who needed it. What Eric wanted most in the world was to help others. His selflessness was always admired by those around him.

He was a lifelong animal lover and devoted pet parent. He shared an unwavering bond with his beloved dog, Ruca.

Eric had a deep love of music – finding understanding of the world around him, and connection to others through listening to and sharing his favorite songs. He was an avid gamer who won so many competitions in his youth that he was kindly asked not to compete again. He enjoyed standup comedy and had a great sense of humor to go along with it. Eric was a Tar Heels fan, and it was rare to see him without his signature UNC hat.

The youngest of three, Eric was adored by his parents and sisters. He had an unbreakable connection with his siblings, characterized by a lifetime of shared secrets, laughter, and unconditional love.

Eric worked in the Information Technology field for over 15 years. He enjoyed solving complex problems, breaking them down into smaller pieces. He was “happy” to serve as the family’s on-call tech support.

Eric will be remembered as a strong, loving, and loyal son, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be deeply missed.

Eric is survived by his parents, Gary and Kimberly Yeske; grandfather, Richard Einsla (Rose); sisters, Tiffany Coppock (Daniel) and Heather Yeske (Steve Sauls); nieces, Emory Brewer and Miranda Wallace; furry companion, Ruca; cherished cousins, Randie Dail, Matthew Dail, Jason Dail, Nikki French (Robert), Kodi McCorkel, Donnie O’Neill, Max O’Neill; loving uncles and aunts, Larry Dail, Mike Dail (Linda), Heidi Huggins (Jim), Keith McCorkel (Jill), Sally Martin O’Neill (Don); numerous extended family members and dear friends.
