Elva Catalina Lay

Elva Catalina Lay, 55, passed away, April 2, 2022, at Hock Pavilion in Durham.

Ms. Lay was born July 2, 1966, to Beatriz Rosalez in Tijuana, Mexico. She worked as a life insurance agent. Elva enjoyed walking, helping others as needed, going to church and being involved in church activities. She was a wonderful Mother, she loved her grandchildren dearly and enjoyed her time with them.

Ms. Lay is preceded in death by her brother, Danny Lay.

In addition to her mother, Elva is survived by 2 sons, David Austin and Jose Interiano, Jr.; 2 daughters, April Austin and Erika Interiano; 4 grandchildren; Elijah Moore, James Ventura, Eva Ventura and Leila Interiano; a brother, Jimmy Lay; and 4 sisters, Alma Lay, Elizabeth Lay, Joana Lay and Sandra Lay.

A visitation will be held from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m, Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at Mt. Calvary United Church of Christ with a funeral service following at 5:00 p.m.

Flowers are acceptable.
