Elizabeth Bernhardt Rizzolo

DURHAM- Mrs. Elizabeth Bernhardt Rizzolo, 96, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, June 29, 2021.

Mrs. Rizzolo was born April 17, 1925 to the late Frederick and Mary Alice Bernhardt (nee Bowman) in Summit, NJ. Elizabeth graduated from Bucknell University in 1946 and she also attended Montclair State University. Elizabeth enjoyed her teaching career. She also enjoyed gardening, where she belonged to the Glacier Hills Garden Club in New Jersey, genealogy, and bridge. Her hobbies included, making floral arrangements and reading. Mrs. Rizzolo was an intelligent, positive, and creative woman. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rizzolo is preceded in death by her loving husband of 29 years, Robert Lee Rizzolo.

Mrs. Rizzolo is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Kanouse (Robert); son, Lee Rizzolo (Elizabeth); two grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
