Elizabeth O. Fletcher

Elizabeth O. Fletcher, 62, of Durham, North Carolina peacefully passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2024. She was born in Chicago, IL on October 6, 1961 to the late Maurice and Catherine O’Donohue.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Chuck Fletcher; twin brother Ed O’Donohue and sister Mary Bonhivert.

Mrs. Fletcher worked at Duke and Quality Electric during her career. She was an Iron Duke who attended every home basketball game, a season ticket holder at the Durham Performing Arts Center and would enjoy going to Braelie’s to spend time with her friends. Elizabeth also loved going to Kerr Lake with her favorite dog, Dorcha. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sibling who will be deeply missed by everyone blessed to have known her.

Elizabeth is survived by her sons, Trey Fletcher and Corey Fletcher (Amanda); brothers, Tim O’Donohue (Missy) and John O’Donohue; sisters, Kathleen O’Donohue, Margaret Hernandez, Ann Jefferson, and Maureen LaFauci (Tom); granddaughter, Abby Fletcher; grandson, Eli Fletcher and numerous other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at Hudson Funeral Home, 211 S. Miami Blvd., Durham, NC 27703.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, July 19, 2024 at Hudson Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Clarence Parrish will officiate.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center in honor of Dr. Margaret Johnson.
