Edith Burcham Boyd

DURHAM-Edith Burcham Boyd, 95, of Durham died on Thursday, December 27, 2012. She was the daughter of the late Charles Henry Burcham and Clellie Idessa Wilson Burcham. She retired from GTE and was also a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Murphy Robert Boyd, Jr., one daughter, Dianne Galbraith, and one brother, William E. Burcham.She is survived by one son, Murphy Robert Boyd III, one daughter, Billie Burcham Boyd, two grandchildren, Henry Eugene Harrison III and Patrick Boyd Harrison and wife Molly Perkins Harrison, two great-grandchildren, Burch and Sarah Sage, three nieces, Priscilla, Susan and Becky.The Memorial service will be held on Monday at 1:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Rev. Miriam Saxon will officiate. A committal service will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park at 3:00 p.m. The family will receive friends on Monday after the services at Hudson Funeral Home.
