Douglas Edward "Doug" Hester

Doug was born January 19, 1965, in Durham, NC to the late Thomas Edward Hester, Sr. and Marie Chappell Hester.

In addition to his parents, Doug is preceded in death by a stepbrother Thomas Hester, Jr.

Doug is survived by his brother, Linwood Hester and his wife Donna of Durham; stepsister, Teddie Jo Gentry and husband Rick of Cary, NC.

Doug was a kind, loving and caring person. He enjoyed being in the presence of others, always willing to help anyone he could. Doug enjoyed puzzles, classic cars and attending cars shows. He was a member of Gorman Baptist Church.

A visitation will be held Monday, December 4, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Gorman Baptist Church followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. at the church. Officiating will be Reverend Craig Phelps.

Interment will be at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.

Flowers are acceptable or donations to Gorman Baptist Church.
