DURHAM Mrs. Dorothy Lee Johnson Howard, 80, of Durham, died on Monday, August 29, 2011.Mrs. Howard was a native and lifelong resident of Durham, the daughter of the late Harvey Edgar and Pearl Page Johnson. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Virginia Bennett and Hazel Durham.She is survived by her husband, Earl S. Howard; one son, Earl “Tommy” Howard and wife, Peggy of Dobson; one daughter, Tammie Sawaya and husband, George of Durham; 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.Graveside services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park, officiated by Rev. Ed Denton. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home.
