Doris Clements Pierce

HOPE MILLS, NC- Ms. Doris Cash Clements Pierce, 93, passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2019.
Ms. Pierce was born on May 2, 1926 to Ora and Martha Cash in Wake County, NC. Doris was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Hope Mills, NC, and worked in the daycare at Bethesda Baptist Church in Durham, NC. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, music, especially country music, and playing the mandolin and guitar. Doris loved her family deeply and will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother.
Ms. Pierce was preceded in death by her parents, Ora and Martha Cash; brothers, Buren and Maynard Cash; and sisters, Inez Bailey, Madge Young, Pauline Coley, Eulalai Chambliss, and Deva Clements. She is survived by her sons, Rodney Clements of Durham, NC, and Merrick Clements (Peggy) of Durham, NC; daughter, Phyllis Clements Register (Don) of N. Myrtle Beach, SC; grandchildren, Brian Register of New York City, NY, Robbin Wagner of Durham, NC, Shelly Wilcoxson (Mark) of Canada, Amelia Rose (Richard) of Durham, NC; great-grandchildren, Abby and Ashleigh Wilcoxson both of Canada, Coley Rose (Christina) of Jacksonville, NC, Briggs Rose of Durham, NC, and Taylor Wagner of Hillsborough, NC; and great great-grandson, Walker Hayes Rose.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. Officiating will be Reverend Hugh O’Shields. Visitation will be held from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at Hudson Funeral Home.
