Donald Wheeler

Mr. Donald Wayne Wheeler, age 77, passed away on February 2, 2022.

Donald was born on October 11, 1944, the son of the late Winston Elliott and Beulah Hogan Wheeler. Mr. Wheeler was an active member of Bible Baptist Church when the Church was located in Durham. He enjoyed serving as a Sunday School Teacher as well. Donald loved his family and will be dearly missed.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Wheeler was preceded in death by his brother, W.E. Wheeler.

Mr. Wheeler is survived by his wife, Jeanette Suggs Wheeler; daughter, Connie Wheeler Costello of Creedmoor, NC; granddaughter, Brittany Mercer (Dusty); great-grandson, Jameson Mercer; and brothers, Ronnie Wheeler (Carolyn) and Freddie McBroom (Linda).

UPDATE:

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 7, 2022 at Hudson Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will be at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Officiating will be Rev. Jonathan Barbee.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be directed to Animal Protection Society of Durham, 2117 E Club Blvd, Durham, NC 27704.

The family is under the care of Hudson Funeral Home.
