Dollie Lunsford Odom

DURHAM- Mrs. Dollie Lunsford Odom, age 99, passed away on December 13, 2021.

Dollie was born April 14, 1922 to the late Harvey R. and Biddie Roundtree Lunsford. Mrs. Odom was a faithful member of Lowes Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing and needle work. She also worked at her father’s general store called Harvey’s Stop and Shop. Later in her senior years she worked at Rite Aid in the Photo Department, Cosmetic Section, and Customer Service. Dollie will be dearly missed.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Odom was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Odom; daughter, Dollie Wood Brown; brothers, Lowell Lunsford, Wendell Lunsford, Franz Lunsford, Ousley Lunsford and Delano Lunsford; sisters, Gladys Dimmick, Alvada Emory Blydenburgh, Eulalia Marchant, and Bryanoleene Walker.

Mrs. Odom is survived by her son, Don Odom (Robin); daughter, Darby Odom (Brandy); grandchildren, Amanda Wood Oehler (Christian), Stephanie Wood Sodano (Tito), and Samantha Wood Miller (Harry); great-grandchildren, Megan Oehler, Rachel Miller Hawthorne (Will), Sara Miller Holland (Mickey), Gabrielle Sodano Linnemeyer (Danny), Christian Sodano, and Samuel Sodano; and great-great-grandchildren, Bryce Lee Holland and Elaina Linnemeyer.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Lowe’s Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Woody Freeze.
