DURHAM Mr. Dessie Columbus Durham; 94, a former resident of Durham, died on Saturday, October 27, 2012. He had lived in Eden for the past 10 years.Mr. Durham was born in Hall County, Georgia to the late Dessie C. Durham and Alma Smith Durham. He retired from Golden Belt. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Durham, daughter, Juanita Stallings, two brothers, Clifford Durham, Jessie Durham and two sisters, Bertha Cocharn and Lillie Mae Satterfield.He is survived by two sons; Michael Durham of Eden and Melvin Durham of Sandston, Va.; one brother, Otho Durham of Fairburn, Ga; one sister, Thelma Clark of Quinton Ala.; 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.Graveside services will be held on Wednesday at 2 pm at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12:30 to 1:30 pm, prior to the service at Hudson Funeral Home. Flowers are acceptable.
