Delores Overman Beckwith

Gracie Delores Overman Beckwith, 82, passed away March 30, 2024, at her home.

Mrs. Beckwith was born October 2, 1941, to the late Richard and Annie Redmund Overman in Durham, North Carolina.  

Delores was a homemaker who loved the Lord and her family dearly. She also enjoyed watching Jimmy Swaggart on TV and loved chewing her bubble gum. She enjoyed making people laugh and attending Bethel Christian Center when she was able. 

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Beckwith is predeceased by her husband, Leroy Beckwith; a son, Tommy Beckwith; also, three stepbrothers and three sisters.  

She is survived by sons, Bill Beckwith and wife Sandra of Timberlake, NC and Mike Beckwith and wife Rhonda of Durham, NC; daughters, Marie Outland and husband Norman Cash of Durham, NC and Lisa Green husband Tony of Mebane, NC; 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. 

A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2024, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home Chapel, 211 S. Miami Blvd., Durham. Officiating will be Pastor Arnold Price.

Serving as Pallbearers are Zachary Beckwith, Chance Outland, Lamont Clayton, Gabriel Cates, Maurice Little and Kevin Osborne.

Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park following the service.

Flowers are acceptable.
