Dolores Anne Wakefield

DURHAM Dolores Anne “Dede” Wakefield, 41 of Durham, died on Monday, August 8, 2016, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Dede was born in Queens, NY, the daughter of the late Peter Thomas Wakefield, Jr. and Joan Margaret Gattus. She worked for WQDR as a Promotions Director. She loved her family, her work and photography. She always put others before herself; she was her happiest making others happy.
She is survived by her brother, Peter Thomas Wakefield, III of Pittsboro; sister, Heather Lynne Crane of Durham; brother-in-law Kyle McCormick Crane; niece, Deliza Joan Wakefield and nephew, Sawyer McCormick Crane; aunt, Robin Jerome; several cousins and lifelong best friend, Gwen Harris
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 12 noon at Holy Infant Catholic Church. A reception will be held immediately following the service at the church.
