David Wayne Rogers

Mr. David Wayne Rogers, 72, passed away Monday, September 24, 2018 at Duke University Hospital.
Mr. Rogers was born May 29, 1946 in Sand Branch, WV to the late Rufus and Armilla Rogers. He was an avid fisherman, golfer, and enjoyed woodworking. He began his career with Piedmont Airlines in Beckley, WV and retired as supervisor of US Air Presidential Suite at Orlando International Airport. He played the stock market in his retirement. Mr. Rogers was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.
Mr. Rogers is preceded in death by his parents, Rufus and Armilla Rogers; brothers, John Rogers, Michael Rogers and Thomas Rogers; sister, Sharon Armentrout.
Mr. Rogers is survived by his wife of 52 years, Karen Dawn Rogers; daughters, Traci Rogers Davis (Jeff) of Raleigh, NC, Nikki Rogers Garwood (John) of Dayton, OH; brother, Joseph Rogers of Delaware; grandchildren, Wesley Davis, Sidney Davis and Max Garwood.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held one-hour prior from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Hugh O’ Shields.
