POLLOCKDURHAM Mr. Danny Lee Pollock, 58, a former resident of Durham, made his final fishing trip on Sunday, May 1, 2011, after an extended illness.Mr. Pollock was a native and lifelong resident of Durham. He was previously employed with Aventis in the Maintenance Department and served on the Hazmat Team. He was a member of the Light House of God in Durham. He was an avid fisherman. Mr. Pollock was preceded in death by his father, Leon Pollock.He is survived by his wife, Teresa Pollock of Mebane; his mother, Eula Murray Pollock of Durham; one son, Leon Travis Pollock of Durham; three daughters, Tonya Ferguson and husband, Troy of Cedar Grove, Jennifer Batts and Jessica Batts both of Orange County; two sisters, Amanda Porter and husband, Brian of Raleigh, Deborah Clayton and husband, Jerry of Durham and 10 grandchildren and 7 nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Light House Church of God, officiated by Rev. Doug Brown. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Jerry Clayton, Bruce Clayton, George Murray, Brian Porter, Troy Ferguson, Wayne Howerton and Bryant Roberts.The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home of his mother, 925 Junction Road. Flowers are acceptable or donations can be made to Duke HomeCare and Hospice, Meadowlands, 1001 Corporate Drive, Hillsborough, NC 27278. Online condolences can be made at www.hudsonfuneralhome.com.
