Dale W. Quinn

September 3, 1961 — July 12, 2023

Dale William Quinn went home to be with his Lord and Savior on July 12, 2023. He was born in Seymour, Indiana to Leo Anthony and Wilma Tucker Quinn on September 3, 1961.

He was preceded in death by both parents, as well as his brothers, Reverend Donald A. Quinn and David M. Quinn, and his father-in-law, Paul E. Kern.

Dale W. Quinn and Julie A. Kern were married on September 27, 1986, and she survives. He is survived by his brother, Jerry L. Quinn, sisters, M. Sue Camp (Dave), Dr. Linda Quinn Allen (Bruce) and Jane Bradley (Chris).  He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Donna F. Kern, brother-in-law, Jay W. Kern and sisters-in-law, Tammy L. Thomas (Danny) and Angela F. Harris (Jamie).

Dale has many nieces and nephews and lifelong friends that survive.

Dale graduated from Seymour High School in Seymour, Indiana in 1979, and he went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering in 1983 from Purdue University. After a 22 year career working for Ford Electronics and Visteon Systems in Bedford, Indiana, he took an education leave to earn a Master of Science in Mathematics from the University of Kentucky in 2007.

After completing that degree, Dale accepted a position as a math professor at Coastal Carolina University in Conway, South Carolina.  He retired from this position in December 2022.

Dale and Julie did get to realize their dream of living along the coast in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina after vacationing there for many years.

Through the years Dale and Julie were avid runners, cyclists, golfers and hikers.

Dale was a Purdue Boilermaker through and through and enjoyed watching them in football and basketball.

Dale was raised in the Catholic faith, and he loved the Lord.

A memorial service to be held in Bedford, Indiana will be announced at a later date.
