Charlotte Grooms

June 29, 1944 — September 29, 2020

RALEIGH- Charlotte Carrington Grooms, 76, passed away at home Tuesday morning, September 29, 2020, surrounded by her loved ones.  She was born in Durham, NC to the late Jack Bennett Carrington and Ruby Whittington Carrington.
She graduated from Northern High School in 1962.  She worked for General Telephone Company before becoming what she loved most, being a housewife and mother. She was a faithful Christian who loved her Lord and Savior. Charlotte will be dearly missed; but we know that she is rejoicing with Jesus in heaven.

Mrs. Grooms is survived by her husband of 55 years, Ernest Wayne Grooms; daughters, Sharon Wayne Grooms, Bethany Grooms San Juan and husband Sixto San Juan; and grandson Antonio David San Juan.  She is also survived by her sisters, Nancy Carrington Markham, and Charlene Carrington Harris and husband John; and sister-in-law, Delores Finley; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 5, 2020 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. Flowers are acceptable.
