Charles Lee O'Connell

Charles Lee O’Connell, 70, of Durham, passed away May 10, 2026, at Pruitt Health in Durham. Mr. O’Connell was born in Durham County on April 30, 1956, to the late William Charles and Myrtle Godsey O’Connell.

Mr. O’Connell is survived by his loving wife, Donna Duke O’Connell; sister-in-law, Diane McKeel, and husband Ricky; brother-in-law, Randy Duke; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.

Charles enjoyed camping and the outdoors. At one time, he and Donna served as camp hosts at Kerr Lake’s Kimble Point Camping Area. He also enjoyed fishing and car racing in his younger years.
