Charles Edward Young

DURHAM- Mr. Charles Edward Young, 88, passed away on Monday, December 7, 2020.

Mr. Young was born on November 25, 1932 to Ezra and Emma Young in Durham, NC. He worked for over 30 years with the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier, and later worked at Lake Mickie for 6 years. Charles proudly served his country in the United States Coast Guard. He was a member of Ellis Chapel Methodist Church where he was a Sunday School teacher. He will be lovingly remembered by all blessed to have known him.

Mr. Young was preceded in death by his parents Ezra and Emma Young; his wife, Daisy Elis Young; and his son, Kenneth E. Young. His son is survived by his son, Joseph “Joe” Allen Young.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. Officiating will be Reverend Donnie Cash.
