Charles (Buck) Utley

Charles “Buck” Rodwell Utley, 62, of Durham, died Thursday October 7, 2010. He was the son of the late Joseph W. and Betty Griffin Utley. Mr. Utley was a retired mechanic with Clearwater Hydraulics. He was a former member of Granville Co. C.B.A., president of Granville Grays and a member of the American Legion.He is survived by his wife, Shelbey Winfree Utley; a son, Jason M. Starnes of Creedmoor; two daughters, Tammy Chandler and Tina Hall, both of Durham; two brothers, Ted Utley of Lakeland, FL, and Joe Utley of Durham; two sisters, Phyllis Currin and Sandra Utley, both of Durham; and five grandchildren.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home, 4224 Redwood Road.Flowers are acceptable.
