Carolyn Pearce

Carolyn Haith Pearce, 85, of Knightdale, North Carolina peacefully passed away on Monday, December 15, 2025. She was born in Durham, NC on February 9, 1940, to the late Ira and Helen Haith.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husbands, Rufus Lafayette “Sonny” Rigsbee, III and Walter P. Pearce.

Mrs. Pearce graduated from Southern High School and Croft Business College. She had a great interest in art and enjoyed traveling, reading, working in her yard and tending to her flowers.

Carloyn’s life was filled with generosity, and she was always willing to help others. Carolyn was friendly and never met a stranger.

Mrs. Pearce dearly loved children, especially her nephew and nieces.

Carolyn is survived by her sister, Shirley Barbour and her son, Brian; brother, Donald Haith (Linda) and their daughters, Kim Stewart (Jason), Kecia Beeker (Wayne) and Karen Santee (Joe) and their children.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, December 19, 2025 at Hudson Funeral Home, 211 S. Miami Blvd., Durham, NC 27703. Rev. Hugh O’Shields will officiate. A Private Committal Service will be held after the Chapel Service.

Prior to the service the family will receive friends starting at 12:00 P.M.
