Mr. Bruce “Curtis” Adcock, 91, passed away June 15, 2024, at Yanceyville Rehabilitation Center in Caswell County.
Mr. Adcock was born September 2, 1932, to the late Lex Alexander and Lula Bell Pruitt Adcock in Harnett County.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Adcock is preceded in death by a son, Ricky W. Adcock, brothers, Bill Adcock and Elbert Adcock and a sister, Gladys Thomas.
Curtis proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict attaining the rank of Sergeant, and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and Army Occupation Medal. He enjoyed woodworking and loved fishing at the lake.
Mr. Adcock is survived by his son, Bruce Adcock (Paula) of Oxford, NC; grandchildren, Melinda Reyes (Tim) and Nicole Taborn (Ronnie) and sister, Frances Medlin of Durham.
A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at Hudson Funeral Home, 211 S. Miami Blvd., Durham, NC 27703. The family will receive friends prior to the service starting at 10:00 A.M. A Committal service will follow at 12:30 P.M. at Wake Chapel Memorial Gardens 905 Wake Chapel Rd., Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526. Pastor Dan Tilley will officiate.
