"Bubba" Bobby Lee Allen, Jr.

“Bubba” Bobby Lee Allen, Jr., 66, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 25, 2023, at Duke Hospice Hock Family Pavilion with his family by his side.

Mr. Allen was born June 1, 1957, to the late Shirly Taylor Allen and Bobby Lee Allen, Sr. 

In addition to his parents, Bubba is preceded in death by his sister, Donna Sue Underwood, all of Durham. 

Surviving are his daughter, Amy Weaver (Henry), of Timberlake, son Andrew “Drew” Mooney (Jonny Cascione), of Hillsborough; Granddaughters Alexis Weaver, of Bracey Virginia, Evelyn Weaver and Makayla Weaver, of Timberlake; Great-Grandson Kairo Williams of Bracey, Virginia; and his sister, Brenda Allen Rigney, of Durham;  his caregiver, Mark Holt (nephew), of Durham and Cathy Allen, of Hillsborough.  Additionally, several nieces, great-nieces, great-great nieces; nephews, great-nephews, great-great nephews and many, many friends.

Visitation will be at Hudson Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, beginning 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm.
