Billy W. Lloyd, Jr., 58, of Durham, North Carolina passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2026. He was born on March 25, 1967 in Durham, NC to Billy W. Lloyd, Sr. and his late mother, Peggy Ann Lloyd. In addition to his mother, he is also preceded in death by his brother, Todd Carroll; his uncle, Grady Lloyd and his cousin, Grady Lloyd, Jr. 

Billy was an avid Duke sports fan, a rowdy Raiders fan, and a passionate Atlanta Braves fan. He also enjoyed watching UFC. Mr. Lloyd loved listening to some good ole’ rock-n-roll and sometimes heavy metal. He really enjoyed The Beatles and Meat Loaf (without the onions) Mr. Lloyd was a good and kindhearted man who cared about people. He was a very tough and gritty man who after so many years of medical setbacks always maintained his sense of humor and positive outlook. 

Billy will be deeply missed by his loving father, Billy Wayne Lloyd; brother, Chris Lloyd (Michelle); nephews, Josh Carroll (Alia), Theo Lloyd and Christopher Lloyd; nieces, Sarah Carroll Dunlap (Colin) and Ashley Rice (Michael) and numerous loving close friends who Billy held dear to his heart.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at Hudson Funeral Home, 211 S. Miami Blvd., Durham, NC 27703. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens on Cheek Road in Durham, NC.

The family will receive friends prior to the service starting at 1:00 p.m.

Officiating will be Reverend Hugh O'Shields.  Serving as Pallbearers will be Chris Lloyd, Jeff Vincent, Larry Mangum, Robert Rigsbee, Jr., Steve Calder and Victor Snipes.
